RICE AND DATED 3/20/22, TAILOR MADE BY “FINK THE TAILOR; VALLEJO; CALIF” (WELL KNOWN WEST COAST NAVY TAILOR), THIS PATTERN 1922/29 TUNIC WAS PROBABLY TAILOR ALTERED FROM A STANDING TO A FALLING COLLAR TUNIC, I PUT ON A NICE PAIR OF POST WWII “USMC” OFFICERS COLLAR DOGS, HM’ED “592” FOR EFFECT, TUNIC SHOWS SOME WEAR TO THE LINING WITH A COUPLE SMALL SCATTERD REPAIRED HOLES, THE RIDING BREECHES SHOW MUCH MORE USAGE WITH SEVERAL REPAIRS AND THE LINING WELL WORN, TUNIC IS C/W ALL US WWI DOMED “USMC” OFFICERS DOMED BRONZE BUTTONS (IT HAD WWI “ARMY” BUTTONS ON IT WHEN WE BOUGHT IT IN THE LATE 80’S) NO OTHER INSIGNIA, UNIFORM HAD HEAVY LEATHER WRAP-A-ROUND PUTTEES AND A “SAM BROWN” BELT WHEN PURCHASED, INCLUDED ALSO, NOT A LOT OF INFORMATION TO GO ON IN TRACING LT. RICE!, BUT IT WILL BE A CHALLENGE FOR THIS WORN UNIFORM THAT HAD TO SEE SOME ACTION, WE RECEIVED THIS UNIFORM FROM A CALIFORNIA PICKER FRIEND 25/30 YEARS AGO.
